Default Why shouldn't I?

Disassemble my distributor assembly? CYP CKF TDC sensors. I saw this picture but no reason as to why not. http://www.justanswer.com/honda/4h70x-95-accord-2-2-replace-distributor-check-fix.html

Sure you can. But I think what they are trying to say if there is a problem replace the entire unit. They don't individually sell the sensors. If you can fiddle around or take one from a spare distributor go for it.

For most dealerships and repair shops the best way of avoiding tow trucks or warranty concerns is replace the units as a whole. For the technically savy DIY kind of person, anything goes.

When i worked as a Honda tech at our dealership I/we used to replace internal stuff in distributors. Just remember how it goes together.

That's what I thought but I took mine out and now when I re assemble it the lowest sensor an the magnetic pickup on the drive shaft are interfering. When I put the shaft in and try to rotate it they hit and I can force it past it but it doesn't spin freely. Any ideas why?

I do this all the time, when I have a for example a broken bseries distributor and cannot get an imediate replacement, I take the internals from a D series or similar and put it in the shell of the B series.

So I got home and took it all apart again and it turns out one of the hold down screws for another sensor got stuck to the bottom of the magnet and I didnt see it when I put it together. Took the screw off and tried again. Works perfectly. Thanks for all the help. I was worried I fucked up my dizzy for a bit there haha
