So, I have a 1991 Honda Accord, and the battery light comes on sometimes, and when that happens, the battery dies only when I am driving it though, Theres no draw. So, I had the alternator replaced, Still, it was happening, I had the battery checked, and the battery is good. So, It's almost like the alternator isn't getting power to the battery. So, That leads me to believe there is a short. because the mechanic we had do all this also replaced the wires that run to the alternator. The only problem is, I have no idea where to start with shorts.

Why did he replace the wires going to the alternator ? I would think that perhaps his wiring job wasn't up to par. You might want to take it to a mechanic or shop that specializes in electrical work and have them recheck the wiring.

I did all the electrical testing myself. And everything is working out fine, But, I still can't figure out why the alternator isn't charging the battery. Could it be an ECU problem?
