camber kit installation question.
Hey i am going to install it tomorrow morning and get an alignment.
My question is there anyway i can tell the camber kit is at 0 so when i drive to the place there wont be any problems. ( I want to pre adjust it before i install so i can get it close to 0 so my tires wont die)
I have a skunk 2 pro series.

Re: camber kit installation question.
Well you can eyeball it, but the camber won't hurt your tires anywhere near as bad as improper toe settings (which are amplified with negative camber) so I would say don't worry about it

Re: camber kit installation question.
Thanks man. And do you need a camber kit for the back? or will the washer trick work. If i wanted around -1.5 Camber all around will that be possible?

Re: camber kit installation question.
I'm not positive about the tegs, but I know most other models it works. Somewhere there's an FAQ thread about which washers to use and what each washer equals to in degrees camber, -1.5 would be a little easier than 0 (less washers) but it's arguable that a camber kit isn't necessary. On my accord I'm lowered between 2.5 and 3" and in the rear I only have -2.5 camber with no kit, front is -3. Like I said toe is the worst for the tires, most people blame the camber not understanding what's happening. You would have feathering on the tires on a stock setup with bad toe, but when you're lowered and have negative camber only the inner shoulder is making the most contact so it wears the shoulder like crazy. When I first lowered my car and hadn't gotten a chance to pull it in at work and align it, in less than 1000 miles my inner shoulders were thrashed. Finally got a chance to flip the tires around and align it and found my left toe @ -21 and right @ -42. Since I adjusted the toe (and flipped the tires) there has since been no noticeable wear on the shoulders, and obviously the car drives smoother as well. I think eventually I may do the washer trick in the rear, but I don't see the need for the front and don't want to lose UCA clearance. Basically make sure when they do the alignment they get the toe perfect, and properly tighten the camber kit so it doesn't come out of adjustment on your first bump
