I love this ECU, but is it safe?
I recently had my top end rebuilt(d16Z6) and found out my stock ECU died at the same time my timing belt snapped(which is why I had to rebuild the top end). The guys at the shop replaced my p28 ECU with a p30. I guess they didn't pay enough attention and thought I had the DOHC VTEC model. Thing is I swear this del sol has never been faster. But now my MIL stays on, my speedo is off quite a bit and I am sure its running rich. I want to keep this ECU in the car but I want everything to function properly and lets face it, I love knowing my limiter has increased from 7440 to 8000ish. I haven't revved it that high but I have read mixed reviews about it with most saying its safe to rev to 8000 but not much higher. What can I do to keep this ECU and have my speedo, VTEC engagement, and fuel consumption correct and have the ability to rev it just below 8000 when needed? Please help.
Thanks in advance...
