Wow that's a pretty good looking rep. The other type R style one that most people get annoys the crap outta me. It flares so bad and looks horrible. I'll make sure to get the proper lip if I ever do a 98+ conversion

its very close but not same. the edge on top is ridiculously big compared to oem itr lip.
they are already making replicas why cant they at least make them right...

Since we are on the subject of ITR replica lips, any one know the best place to buy the ITR ABS side skirt replicas?

that's the whole point of a replica it's close to the real thing, I still have my CCW lm20's sitting in my room and avid av1's(exact replica) if you stand a few meters back and have never seen the real deal they almost look real. "often imitated never duplicated" obv the CCW's have no extra lug holes and are much nicer visually but then you get into the construction...that's where replicas are so cheap and ill fitting. not knocking I used to buy them as I didn't have a solid job but now I never look back when I get the real deal....even if it takes me 2 or 3 times as long to save the funds for it.

In order to produce the lip, the manufacturer needs a design molde l of the part. That mold is usually copied from an original part. That means the mold is measuring the lip from the outside face, resulting in a lip thats slightly larger than the original.

If a company got a hold of the original factory mold or someone took the time to construct a perfect mold, you would have replicas. Unfortunately, the first option is highly unlikely and the second requires a lot of work and test fitting, which isn't worth the resources considering the demand for the product.

You buy a replica knowing what your getting is nowhere near the quality of the original. Sure, it might be functional to an extent, but consider you paid a third of the price of an authentic one.

You get what you pay for...most of the time at least.
