thinking of rear deck 6x9 speaker upgrade? [LOOK HERE]
so i came across a company via google, when searching for a 4ohm 6x9 sub woofer - CDT Audio (http://www.cdtaudio.com/)... I was looking for a speaker that would work with the factory 4ohm impedance from the amp without much modification to eliminate the tweeter in the stock two way pioneers with a paper tweeter, yuck!
so CDT makes a few different coaxial 4ohm 6x9 sub woofers that mount in our rear deck that you can find here (http://www.cdtaudio.com/6x9series.htm)
I went with the HD690CF instead of the CL-69SUBCF because its only .5 dbs less sensitive but you gain 10watts more it and can handle 5hz lower frequency for that lower bass line (i listen to a lot of house music).. i know it is not much of a difference, but ever bit counts.
these things are so nice, and really are what you want to get if you are upgrading your 6x9's in your rear deck... They even out the whole sound of the car, and i have yet to find any song to distort them with volume at 40 and bass set to 6 with the stock amp and hu no other audio mods at all.
does anyone have experience with the CL-69SUBCF, input would be greatly appreciated.
crappy iPhone snapper of the speaker mounted in the rear deck
post up any or your experiences if you are running similar setups.

yea its just balanced better and they handle anything the stock amp can throw at it... I am looking into how to tweak the stock amp to make it louder as i am please with my setup and its all i need, but with these I can play a CD at 40 with bass and trebel cranked to 6 with no distortion at all its great!
I just need to figure out how to get it louder on the stock HU.

what u can do is buy the acura audio attachment kit and install an aftermarket hu (you would need the usapec pa15 hon2 adaptor for this to work) and grab like a alpine that comes with all the goodies in it, with all the eq "LPF" & "HPF" controls...with the aftermarket hu, its amp combines with your factory amp which gives your speakers a boost, and again you get to control the sound quality of your music...me at the moment, im still using all my factory speakers, boy i tell you, they sound so much clearer and louder with the alpine head unit. heres how my setup looks at the moment.

Wiring in a new amp prob isnt the problem. The size of the replacement amp is prob the issue lol

This is exactly what i have been looking for! I wanna bump, but I always get that pop in the rear deck when I crank it. What is required for installation? Also, anybody got any tips to stop rattling in the door panels and plastic pieces?
