Default Problem with 2013 Honda Civic si

Hello guys, I'm new around here as well to the Civic Si Generation, Now before anyone from here starts flamming me for being young and being spoiled... I guarantee you guys I pay for this car myself.

This is my first Manuel Transmission car, I have a slight problem, from time to time I hear a strange noise coming from the front of the car, I've had 5 accidents on the left side only, No back nor right involved... But this noise is made from time to time when I take off from 1st gear, recently it did it on 2nd gear... But it only happens in 1st gear.... but its not a constant noise that is made... it happens uncontrollably, when this noise happens sometimes its louder than other times... and sometimes I feel or think I can feel the feedback on the shifter and clutch pedal... But I might be wrong, Some Advice would be nice :/

If it's new and still under warranty, take it to the dealer.....

I'm trying to see if anyone else here might be a mechanic or have some knowledge about this... It is under warranty but if its the clutch I don't believe its covered by the warranty as its a wearing part on the car such as brakes and oil...

but why waste time trying to figure out something that seems very hard to figure out from the vague description you have gave us!

Don't waste time and damage the car even anymore bring it to the dealer and get it looked at!

So wait...you've already had 5 accidents with a 2013 Civic?

Perhaps you should consider staying off the road for a while or getting something easier to drive. Your insurance must be through the roof.

Regardless, take the car in to the dealer.

My insurance is only 100 dollars a month with Fred Loya Insurance... and its not because I wanted to have those accidents other people got in my way and scammed me of insurance scam, I'm getting a blackvue camcorder with a back camera kit so that way I can catch those little worthless scamming people.... but yeah... I took the car to the dealer, this goes out for anyone who has a similar problem... They didn't want to take a look at the clutch nor inspect the engine itself... although they did look at my front axel/struts/suspension and looked for any damage, fortunate their wasn't any! the guy suggested to just drive it slow and if the clutch was to be affected then that would have to be covered by me and not under any cicumstance covered by the guarantee of the cars warranty.

ok still you should have them open up the tranny and take a look to see if it's the clutch even if you have to pay... why would you keep damaging stuff on your car when you know their is a noise?

Get it fixed!

I don't get people they have a brand new car and yes the clutch isn't on the warranty but you would still drive it and ruin it more? It's funny how the tech tells you to just drive slow... here is the best advice anybody on Honda-Tech will give you leave the car in the driveway until you can get it fix it properly!

Thats what i've been hearing, and even one of the tech/part guys told me about it and told me that he had been tunning hondas for years, He seemed pretty young, maybe around 20-30's but still I'll search it up and post on here once I find it!

Not to be a mean ******* but... I mean dude I've taken care of my things all my life otherwise I don't think I would have gotten a BRAND NEW car... I know if I know there is a noise and something possible wrong, I shouldn't drive it.... But Their is record of this problem, I told them to put it on writting and I got a copy... So Later one if I were to have a Major problem I will pursue to sueing them for not taking proper action, even after mentioning I believe it was a warranty issue.

This guy has an issue with his 1st gear, THAT NOISE that is made is made by mine, but its not constant like his, it happens from time to time, I'm thankful for this guy to make this video!

I forgot to mention that the noise that is made only happens when my traction control is off, I've never heard it while its on, Maybe it might be a traction control issue?

Told ya buddy .... My civic does not make the noise yet but when it does I will be re flashing back to stock and taking it to dealer for warrenty work ... I believe the known cause is the springs in the clutch ... The dealers are replacing the whole clutch assembly ... I'm guessing the springs might be scratching the flywheel or something don't know ... Can't find a pic of the dmg

I drive with the VSA ( traction control) on all the time in my 2010 FA5. That noise sounds like it could be in the clutch, but has anyone looked at the Limited Slip Diff?

I had the same problem with my 2012 Civic, it's a Throwout bearing bushing/Throwout bearing. Apparently Honda is getting bad batches of them from the manufacturer and is causing a havoc with only a certain amount of SI's produced.

The factory warranty covered the bushing, clutch, pressure plate, and the other odds and ins with replacing all of that.

The clutch is making some noise on engagement. Big deal, unless Honda has countermeasure parts it's probably not going to be fixed. Its also not hurting anything.

Also mentioning the 5 accidents has nothing to do with transmission problems.... Just more reason for others to flame this thread.... Just saying

Anything you could advise me to tell honda about this so they take more action.., they told me to take to another honda dealership to see if they had a fix, I asked why since I bought the car with 3 miles on it on that Dealership, they told me it was steps they had to take?, Thats the only one near me, other one is 30 minutes away.... and the guy also told me after taking it to another dealership to call some number so a honda specialist comes and takes a look at it? like can't they just call the number and tell them that one of their purchased cars has a problem?..... Honda really has fallen in quality Service.... I love the civic though :3
