In Harrisonburg, VA, where I'm guessing a lot of college students didn't register the way they were supposed to.

Everybody was so shocked that nobody knew what to do about it.

The sheriff knew that it had to be illegal but he'd never heard of such a thing. He had to consult the Commonwealth's Attorney for how to proceed and for what, exactly, to arrest the guy.

btw isn't it about that time during a presidential election year for the GOP to crank up their robo-call machines, and then trying to blame it on someone else? Or does that not usually happen until the week before the election so investigations of it can't be completed until after election day?
