1992 Civic Dx will not start(fuel pump relay?)
We just picked up a civic over the weekend and we were able to drive it almost to our house. we stopped to let the engine cool b/c at the time it had a valve cover gasket leak. anywho, we installed a new ignition because we found the old one to be busted and no longer attached to the column.
It fired up on the 3rd try last night and we turned it off and cranked it again, no problem.
This morning my husband said that it would start up at all. He doesn't hear the fuel pump at the turn of the key.
WE just paid 300 bucks for the ignition and we don't want to pay for a fuel pump. How often does the fuel pump relay go out and could that be the culprit?
Thanks!

Also check fuses 24 and 13 (see FAQs sticky for fuse diagrams).
And read through the Codes sticky at the top, specifically Post 1 in that thread.

Thanks. I'm new here and I should have probably taken a better look around. I'm used to my other forum. I'll get used to this one I'm sure. I like the way the FAQ sticky is set-up here; very helpful!
