Default code p0135

Had the local auto parts store check my 96 accord for check engine light on. It came up with code p-0135, oxygen sensor heater circuit, bank 1, sensor 1.
Is this the one right next to the cylinder head on the manifold? My Haynes manual only shows codes in 2 numbers and is useless with this.

Bank 1 sensor 1 is the "pre cat".....sensor 2 is "post" cat.....so yes the one infront of the cat.

and make sure if you do replace the sensor to replace it with a denso unit. the bosch sensors blow. check the electrical connector for the sensor also.

X2

denso will cost more when ever you buy it, before or after the bosch fails. after checking the connector, look up which wire is the heater and check the resistance, usually if only a heater code a DMM will read OL or some K-ohms, that makes it bad. Most of the time an O2 sensor code is the sensor, not always. Diag and visual inspection always before buying parts.

terminal 3 and 4 should be 10-40ohms which I believe if you have the F22b will be the yellow/black and orange/black wires.

I bought the Denso sensor and popped it in, reset the ecm and its good to go. Thanks for the help. I would never use Bosch parts. Even the autoparts guy says all the local shops ask for Denso parts.
