Civic tpms
Hi my gf has a 2010 civic coupe and it came with steel wheels on it and hubcaps so I bought a set of wheels and refinished them and I am looking for some tpms sensors to put in them so we can switch them from winter to summer without that annoying light coming on. I have been looking for a few months on ebay and other sights and they are very pricey. All the ones I have found are right around that $100 range for used ones but when I am looking you can get honda fit, cr-v, and accord ones for $50 for a set of 4 will they interchange or do I have to get the civic ones? Also if anyone knows where to get some at a decent price I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Re: Civic tpms
Ya I know that it will come on still but I am just wondering what sensors I have to get because online there are sensors for the civic alone and then there are sensors that work for the accord/fit/crv. I am just wondering if I can buy the sensors that go on the accord or fit and have them initialized to the car or if they have to be the ones that are for the civic because the ones for the civic are double the money.

Re: Civic tpms
Thank you for your help i appreciate it alot i just didnt know if the part numbera were interchangeable between cars because it seems like they are cheaper for the other cars and more expensive for the civic. Thank you for taking the time to look up the numbers and provide that info i appreciate it.

Re: Civic tpms
Good morning all, new member here. I am most likely getting a 2011 si this week.
I currently have a 2010 Acura TSX and have done a couple of autocross events with it. On that car if you put on tires that don't have TPMS it will go into sort of a safe mode when it loses traction. The best way I can describe it is that after there is a little tire slippage it only allows about 20% throttle for about 3 seconds. Not fun while trying to autocross. Does the Civic do this as well, or is there just a light on?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
