So I've recently purchased an '06 ruckus with 11,xxx miles on it. At first I could kick start it and it would run perfectly fine. Now it won't do anything. I've replace the battery and a couple of miner things and still nothing. Anybody have any ideas?

Is it stock or did you do somethin to the scooter?

are you holding either one of the brake handles then starting it up with the button at the same time?

thought id chime in cuz i need help..im a nooob.... i have the same problem right now.. i just got my 06 ruckus....it has a new battery...rode it yesterday for about 15 minutes around the block...turned it off for 20 minutes..then tried riding it again but no start...push start was just clicking... all lights worked except the headlights(since it wasnt running).. so i did kickstart and it ran for 20 secs then died... you guys got any ideas??? kick start wont work either.....

5 minutes later...

so i tried kickstarting it again, and its running right now... i guess its a bad battery too...its walmart ever start battery that the last owner put...

5 mins after that.. saw this.. the positive cable for the battery was loose..does it connect to that small blue box??

any help?? ive tried to attach the positive wire back but still no on the push start button..and the kick start gets it running for like a few seconds

now i have a clicking noise then the key is on the ON position?? wtf

It was in desperate need of a tune up. New plugs, oil change, and a couple of minor loose connections. I got it from a pawn shop and the previous owner didn't take good care of it
