F23A1 to F23A4 in 00 Accord
Hey guys lurking the forums for a while now, just that I've never really posted anything as I could find everything I need with the search button. But I cant seems to figure this one out.
Okay so a while ago I helped my buddy swap a F23A4 into his 00 Accord which had the F23A1. We kept the A1 harness and ECU, ever since it fired the first time there was a CEL light which was P0135. I looked into it and is a malfunction in the o2 circuit. We have replaced the o2 with both the A1 and A4 o2 and the code still doesn't go away.
So my question is, is there a differences in the two harness? or anyone know how to start diagnosis the code?

the diffrence between the A4 and the A1 is the exaust manifold and the ECU
So if you did not change out the ECU and the Manifold to the a4 you mess up.
The A1 is a LEV engine and it is looking for the lower fuel ratio then what is in the A4
So if you did not change the ecu to the A4 then thats what i would do first

ok so i got it mixed up according to wiki
f23a1 is the regular f23 that is not ulev so the ecu
and the f23a4 is the ULEV which is reduced horpower due to the ecu and exauht manifold.
so your problem is that ecen though it will work to some degree you can not run the a4 on an a1 ecu unless you change out the manifold I beleve
