Default Ignition Fuse Keeps Blowing Out

Car wouldnt start so i did all the normal things....tried a jump and then i bought a battery...didnt work. I checked the under hood fuses and noticed the ignition fuse was blown. i went and bought a new one. As soon as i turned the key to the on position i had some hope but as soon as i tried to start it it blew the fuse.

i tried it 4 more times. Every time the fuse blew right as i tried to turn it on. I have no idea what to do next. Please help!

Does the fuse blow when the key is turned to ON(I)/ACC or ON(II) or only when turned to ON(III)/START?

Disconnect both starter wires to see whether this prevents the fuse from blowing.

If the fuse does not blow with the starter disconnected, then there's a short in the starter and it needs to be replaced.

If the fuse still blows with the starter disconnected, then the short is in the ignition switch or the wires between the ignition switch and starter.

so i unplugged the wires and tried to start it and it did not blow the fuse

does this mean it is the starter at fault?

Yes, there's a short inside the new starter.
