that was only towards a couple of users that seem to know "everything". Like i said, I am aware it needs to be tuned. I am looking at my options and what i need to purchase to get everything done. Anyways, a couple of ppl insist that my motor was done breaking in at 150 miles, which just simply isn't the case. It has gained some compression and i hope it continues to throughout the break in process.

Now, what do i need to get it tuned. I've never had anything where i needed a tune so this is why i am asking. Should i go with crome, uberdata, or maybe s200. I dont have the money for s300 right now.

like i was told when i built my first.. youll learn on your second and third one haha,
im on my 3rd and it has respectable numbers and sticks in mid 12's with no lsd and street tires. didnt tune my first right away at 270 compression... needless to say those pistons are in a souvenir box

shouldn't be changing internals until you have money to tune.

ya, well when your burning almost two quarts every few days it does start to get a little expensive. I even had a notice from texas air pollution watch saying that a "civlian" reported my car saying that i had excessive smoke coming out of the tail pipe. lol.

maybe some of you guys are wrong......
did you do this with the engine fully warm and the TB wide open?

for all motor an s100 is more than enough. timing and fuel tables are all you really need to address. i would use whatever the tuner you choose is most comfortable with. you need to talk to your local area tuners to find out what is needed.

no, i didn't realize i was doing it wrong the whole time. Monday morning i will unplug the dizzy and leave the tb wide open.

The motor actually feels alot stronger though just driving it. It has close to 400 miles now. I really appreciate all the info guys.

you're lucky you haven't fried the dizzy if you left it connected.

also, the hot engine and open TB is a big part of higher numbers, see what happens

You'll definitely feel a difference after a proper tune. Good luck!
