b18c1 swap woes

cel is on and throwing code 4.three distributors (distributorking) and im thinking its not the dizzy like hasport is saying is the problem. any help would be great because ive seen everything from clips not mating right in plug to mispinned wires in harness.so i need to know which wires on the plug at the ecu to check and which wires at the dizzy to check also.

first off, check your distributor wiring to see that it is correct - a lot of people (including some making OBD0 to OBD1 distributor jumpers) don't realize that some of the OBD1 distributor sensor wire colors are not the same as OBD0 distributor sensor wire colors

the TDC (top dead center, code 8) wire colors are the same on both OBD0 and OBD1:
orange with blue stripe (OBD1 ECU pin B13)
white with blue stripe (OBD1 ECU pin B14)

the CKP (crank sensor, code 4) wire colors are different on OBD0 and OBD1:
OBD0 = orange - OBD1 = blue with green stripe (OBD1 ECU pin B15)
OBD0 = white -- OBD1 = blue with yellow stripe (OBD1 ECU pin B16)

the CYP (cylinder position sensor, code 9) wire colors are different on OBD0 and OBD1:
OBD0 = blue with green stripe - OBD1 = orange (OBD1 ECU pin B11)
OBD0 = blue with yellow stripe - OBD1 = white (OBD1 ECU pin B12)

igniter wire:
OBD0 = white - OBD1 = yellow with green stripe

some aftermarket distributors have some of the sensor wires switched inside the distributor and end up at the wrong ECU pins - this is usually the orange and white wires for the CYP sensor which should give you a code 9, however, if the distributor wiring is not correct and instead has all of the wire colors matching, it would throw a code 4 - you may have to switch wire locations in the distributor connector to get them to run to the correct ECU pin

try switching the orange and white wires in the distributor connector

tried it,car wouldnt even start.hasport says to switch b10 b12
and i hope they dont want my death at this point lol
so we'll see if that helps,let you all know soon

well i pinned the problem out.two wires misplaced by hasport,moved the wires at the ecu and car runs, no cel ,nothing on hondata. yay
