Yesterday I lowered my 89 hatch with H&R Sports and KYB GR2's, with new KYB bumpstops.
Ride quality is good, but I'm noticing that the passenger rear of my car is about 3/4 to 1 inch higher than the drivers rear - which is driving me crazy, and probably affecting handling. I made sure to tighten everything with a load on the suspension, I lifted each side off the jack stands by raising at the knuckles before tightening the each strut mounting bolt. Any ideas or feedback on this? Should I put it on jack stands, loosen everything up and do the whole tightening process again or give it a few days? I've lowered both of my other hatchbacks (91 with H&R race, and 02 with Eibach prokit) and never had an issue like this. |

My setup...nothing too special but for what I use the car for (daily commuter/sometimes weekend canyon bomber) it works OK. I bought the car like this, so once I have the money that Megan stuff will hit the highway along with the rim/tire setup.
'88 STD hatch H&R Sports w/ Tokico blues Neuspeed front upper strut brace Megan Racing rear upper strut brace and lower tie bar Si front/rear sway bars no name c-pillar bar (haven't had the time to uninstall it yet )Sorry for crappy cell phone pics: ![]()

Neuspeed Race Springs + Tockico Illuminas =
![]() ![]() ![]() It's not slammed, however the ride is excellent. Hardly bouncy and very tight. I run the Illuminas typically on 3 on the front and 2 in the rear.

im sorry but i cant take it anymore. tokico blues are OEM replacement shocks and will not ride well with a slammed car and will blow just as equally as your old oem ones. rant/

My buddy's CRX was slightly lower than the white one that was just posted, and the Blues couldn't dampen for shit, even at that height he was slamming the front UCA's.

Im amazed and sure would like to hear and maybe even see your proof that Tokico HP shocks are OEM replacement and will blow if running slammed ![]() Ive owned two sets of Tokico HP shocks since 2000 and have ran both sets slammed on egay sleeves, cut stock springs, sportline springs and currently running them on Sprint lowering springs with a 2.50F and 2.25R drop and have never blown out shyt. Unless i've been sipping on a 211 steel reserves dead drunk , please enlighten me with some sort of proof set in stone...!!!Current stance: ![]() From this: ![]() To This: ![]() And yes my shyt runs smooth as butter.
