Hey I just got a 07 Civic Si a couple weeks ago and I am just introducing myself now. I made the switch from driving all GM and one Chrysler cars my whole life to this Civic and I love it besides having the 3rd gear problem. I look forward to hanging around the forum and learning for a while. Ill post some pics in the picture thread as soon as I take some.

So I can assume people usually post an intro into the general areas lol. I try to read and not make too much of an ass out of myself when I am new lol.

No you're good, people usually make intro threads in the main tech forum where they shouldn't.

Sedan.
I don't know an extreme amount about cars let alone Honda in general. I know what all the parts are and I can do the basics. Well I guess I am above your average non car person lol. My dad has a 66 gto and we pulled motor had it rebuild put it back in but simple enough on a 66 so I guess that puts me at a level a lot of non car people wouldn't touch. Besides that I had a dakota that was all show 3.9l v6 airride shaved the usual stuff so that was my waste of money and time in high school and a great learning experience. Anyway I think I am getting side tracked. Just reading a lot hear to learn more about my car and Hondas in general. I don't have too much as for plans on mine just header intake and flash pro eventually. It already has the hfp exhaust and a K&N drop in replacement filter. That is all that's not original off the new car showroom floor. |

Well that hfp axleback can sound raspy with a header so I would ditch that and get a nice catback and a good quality header. I like the greddy stuff and either skunk 2 header for performance and midly expensive or dcsports race header is cheap and does the job.

so last week i took my injen SRI off.. (got tired of the air sucking sound lol)
one day (with the SRI on) me and my buddy were driving to the movies and we pulled up next to this RICEDDDDDDDDD out cavalier, so i dumped it @ 3K rpms and it squealed a decent amount. we were both like "LOL" and went on our way.. tonight (with the SRI off) , we saw some old mid 80's toyota corolla with rpf1's, go figure, and a miss-colored wing so i was like "check this out.. it will be epic" and i dumped it at 5K and NOT A PEEP!! in an attempt to redeem myself, i turned VSA off and it BARELY spun out.. i didn't give that SRI enough credit. has anyone else experienced this? i thought a short ram is only supposed to add a few HP at most? i apologize if this is a noobed out post

I've been waiting for my rims for a while. Hopefully during this upcoming break I can get them in and mounted.
