$125.83 a month (full) if I pay for the 6 months at once.
Looking forward to turning 25 next year.

In 2003, I paid $400 a month for a 2001 GSR at 19ish years old. I was living on my own, in PA at the time, and had one speeding ticket. Some of my friends evaded the high insurance premiums by using their parents policy. That was not an option for me, so I was under my own policy. I worked my ass off and barely made rent. Childish decision, I do not recommend strapping yourself just to have a nice car.

$1050 or so a year. I was suprised that it costs more to insure the R than it was to insure my newer F-150 (primary vehicle).

spend 3000 on a decent GSR, you don't want this kind of debt or the risk

As important as what you pay is what they cover. After having mine stonlen I learned the hardway they can screw you. I suggest insuring it for a certain value incase it gets stolen.

I dont think the big factor is the "high performance" aspect of it, more of how it ranks nationally on the stolen or accident list which I think is pretty high (acura integra's)from what I was told at my agents office.

Shop around.
I found that Progressive's online insurance, is alot less than going to a local Progressive agent. |

WOW, In BC in Canada, it's at least $150 a month full coverage to insure a type R for many people.
Hearing you guys pay less than $100 a month is just sad for us Canadians |
