have 2001 honda van, cel came on, codes reval a problem with the fuel evaporator system, what do i do??

The diagnostic procedure depends on the EVAP code. Is it P1456 or P1457 (2 most common codes) as it matters to which end of the vehicle to troubleshoot.
In the meantime, you should make sure the gas cap is tightened at least 3 clicks each time - otherwise you may get an EVAP code. Try this and run for a few driving cycles to see if CEL will go away. This is assuming you do not smell a gas leak of course.
