Default 2002 Honda Accord hard shifting

Hi,
Yes, I've read the other threads but my problem is slightly different. My Maint req light is on. When I put it in D4 it jerks. Only on 1st gear does it have like a grinding sound and stalls a bit then goes. When I slow down to first gear same problem. I haven't checked the fluid levels yet. Anything. I told someone about it and they said that it's not the transmission going out but maybe a part that needs to be fixed.

Hey man your problem is your alternator...I had the same problem & my alternator went cuz I had a brand NEW High Performance Battery installed rescentlly & well it turned out to be the Alternator...Get it replaced ASAP unless you have AAA to get U outa a jam...later man Oh quick question you wouldn't to happen to know where I can get me some NICEE factory style foglights....that either already come in H.I.D's or ones I can put H.I.D's on them...Cuz right now I have TYC Projector Headlights with 8000K H.I.D's installed...So yea man lemme know thnx...

wtf are you talking about the alternator.....it makes no sense what so ever....your maintenance required light is only an oil change indicator and is tripped by mileage .....something may be wrong internall with the transmission

that would be incorrect...cuz when I came outa D1 it stalled everythin turned off then right bak on...then the lights came on and wouldn't turn off....then the car jus died....

Call me crazy but I don't think a bad alternator would cause his car to jerk when he puts it in gear. How many miles?

It has 95,000 miles. I took it to this place and they told me that the 1st and 2nd gear clutch are going out. That they need to rebuild the transmission. 1500,00. Is there anything to keep it going longer? Maybe a tranny oil change?

then stop driving your car likes its a stick...but an alternator would not cause the car to jerk dude sry you must have had other issues....and as for the tranny....they say its not good to change the fluid that oftem because of the planetaries inside as the hondas dont have a changeable tranny filter
