Registering a JDM car in GA/FL with no JDM title possible?

I am trying to import a JDM car and I can't get the title. I know that there are ways to register it with out the title, I just need info on how to do it. If anyone has info it would be greatly apprecated.

If you are doing it for that reason, just do not do it. It will NOT be cheaper. You have to pay customs, import fees, etc.

Motor swaps are hella cheap.

they said I have to have the JDM title and submit it with a translation form, I have to have it inspected.

I can get something notorized saying the vin is what it acculy is....that would be easy

Why not just apply for a new title using the bill of sale and a notorized VIN number?

I will look into it, but the vin is 12 digits not 17....that is my only problem but I will look into it

you cant legally register a JDM car in america unless it has been put through the scrutiny of US emissions and crash test standards. period. everyone else that you know that has a japanese car in america has it here illegally.

if you want to do it legally, you have to bring over a few more than 1. more like 12 and have them crash tested. IF they pass the crash testing and are deemed safe enough by american standards you still have to convert it over to US emmisions, not to mention put in thicker glass, different headlamps, etc.

If you want advice on how to BS the DMV and get the car over here IN SPITE OF OUR LEGAL SYSTEM, i can give you a few ideas, but don't let anyone bullshit you into believing that you can legally bring over a japanese car that hasn't gone through the above mentioned measures, unless it is a vehicle of historical significance such as a race car or a movie car.

obviously there are ways around this but they have strong limitations and you be able to drive the car like normal. at least not legally. do you see a trend developing here? lol

I understand that the car gets here because of a loop hole in the law, if it is "disassembled" it can go thru customs....but when you go to register a car all they see is Honda Civic SIR and the aplicable 12 digit vin... They don't check federal law nor do the police that come to inspect the car, they just make sure that it is working and not about the crash spec....Insurance is a little harder, you can appy for a new vin or just insure the vin as a "grey market vehicle" and anyone will insure it as long as it is in desent shape....I will be contacting you for info thou
