Default WHITE SMOKE

My D16a2 motor has just given its first sign of problems. 3 days ago my car started over heating. i talked to a friend and he said that may b the thermostat is worn. ok. so we went to kragen to pick up a NEW thermostat...ok installed it turned on the engine let it idle and the damn motor started puffing out WHITE smoke....so i knew of this product at kragen called smoke away or something. so i poured half of that shyt in and i took the car out for a couple of minutes....damn thing still smoked. another friend told me that i might have a blown head gasket.

what do you guys think? overheating and the puffing out of white smoke?
