light destroys beer. if it's in brown bottles (or cans) and in the carton, odds are its fine.

if you pour some in a glass and there are "flakes" floating around in it, it's bad.

or you could just check for an expiry date on the pack.

depending on the beer, it might be good or shitty. most of the fizzy yellow **** water that people call "beer" will taste like *** if it's new or 5 years old. doesn't matter. coors light, bud light, busch, miller, etc all fall under this category.

but if you have a nice quality beer which was bottle fermented, it only gets BETTER with age. chimay, sierra nevada bigfoot, and deschutes black butte are 3 examples.

I have these beasts in my fridge that have been there since the day I moved in. That was mid July. Thing is, before they got moved over here they sat in my garage since this party I had back in HS. So I have 8 or so 4-5 year old Milwaukee beasts in my fridge.

Anybody thats in the know wont ******* touch them, I'm just waiting for another poor schmuck who isnt in the know (and isnt honest enough to ASK me for a beer) to guzzle one. Click the image to open in full size. Last guy that did had one at my FL vs. GA party, poor ****** about turned green.

Its a great beer theft deterrent

LOL. Nah, not that much. Chimay doesn't come in 24 packs.
Last night I got a sixer of Stella Artois, which is similar in taste to St.Pauli Girl, but it's got a dryer finish, and the head is a lot tighter and it doesn't disappear after one sip. Real nice beer, and it's not bad in price.. like $8.50 for a sixer. Click the image to open in full size.

yea, my brother is a big fan of those skunky euro brews, like heineken, becks and st.pauli. so i showed him the stella and he was in love. the way he put it "for an extra $1.50 per six pack over heineken, i can get this? man, FUCK heineken!" lol.

one of my all time favorites that isn't really expensive and is AWESOME in all aspects(smell, color, taste, etc) is Lost Coast 8 Ball Stout.
It's like $6.99 for a sixer, and it's as dark as used motor oil. Taste is kinda like a thicker Guinness but with a strong coffee/dark chocolate taste. Mmm...
