Default upgrading oem lsd to mfactory/quaife

I have a jdm integra dc5 gearbox which comes with a oem lsd would it be woth my while upgrading to a quaife or mfactory helical diff. Car will be a weekend car but plan on doing drag days also which is why I want a better diff if the oem one isnt good enough. Just looking for a diff which is going to help me keep the power down and be quickest off the line.

What kind of power are you making? The OEM LSDs will not be as good as the aftermarket LSD units. But they work very well at lower power levels and on stock motors.

I was thinking of the DC integra prior to the DC5. Anyways, RSX. Yeah, that makes more sense. Just run with the OEM LSD. You'll be good.

MFactory is the strongest (forged) while Quaife is the next best option (billet). OEM is cast.

Strength aside, both Quaife and MFactory have a more aggressive bias ratio and will work better than the OEM LSD.

Thanks for the reply I see mfactory so a stage 1 upgrade aswel with a even more aggressive biast ratio presume that would be better again or whould it be too aggressive for drag giving too much torque steer

Honestly, your money would be better spent on slicks & dedicated track rims. And seat time, lots of seat time!

Unless it's a high power setup or a DD/HPDE setup I would stick with the standard MFactory or Quaife versus the Stage 1/Drag upgrades. Either way it won't affect torque steer.
