Re: Questions About the EF
Are you sure it's trans fluid and not the rear seal or whatever is in there? And there should only be a timing belt, not a serpantine belt. But I'd imagine that's leaking from the cam or valve cover.
If you can tune it up for mega cheap ($300) definitely just keep it.

Re: Questions About the EF
Hey everyone, I've run into a new issue.
I checked out where my corner lights are suppose to go (if anyone has seen the pictures, I had no corner lights) - I found the wires that're meant to hook up some new ones, but it only looks like the right side has them intact. The left side is just completely gone, but there are cables, black, green, and red. My only guess is those are the cables.
I'm pretty sure I need corner lights (NJ), so... how should I go about this? I already took off the right hand fender and planning on replacing it. I'm figuring that I should get some replacement wires for the stuff that's missing/broken, but from where? It doesn't look like complete assemblies come with those wires.
Thanks for any input.
In a positive update, I replaced my distributor rotor, spark plug wires, grommets, and gasket. haven't gotten a chance to fire her up because I'm waiting on my spark plugs, they should be here Saturday.

Re: Questions About the EF
Hmm. You should have 2 sets of wires for the corner light. I believe one set is red, black and green. The other is red and black. The red is switched power from the head light stalk. The black is ground. And the green is a signal wire for the turn signal.
You can get the plugs you need from a junkyard. They will look something like this:
I am guessing you can order new ones online also. But they should be nearly free at a junkyard.

Also, my low beams dont work. Interior lights are good, so are high beams, I'm guessing it's the bulbs. I'll look into it everything later

Re: Questions About the EF
any swap you do will still need normal maintenance stuff. So theres your VC and oil pan gaskets, timing belt and water pumps, etc etc etc
If cost is your primary concern, just fix whatcha got. If you decide to play the honda game I would suggest the B20z or B20vtec route, as ive done it both ways. Just do your homework and start accumulating the items you will need IE b18 intake mani, DA axles, b series tranny, etc. Dont listen to people pushing the cable to hydro (tranny)thing. Ive driven many examples of both and the difference is negligible considering the hassle and costs. The only way i would do a conversion is if an absolutely unbeatable deal for a B series hydro LSD trans came up. Otherwise cable all day lol

Re: Questions About the EF
I finally found the sockets i needed
Part No. 34305-SH3-A01
Part No. 34304-SH3-A01
Thought it was kind of funny how as soon as I found the numbers, a whole bunch of them showed up on eBay. even found someone selling both together, it was kind of expensive, (25 for both sides, i think i got ripped off, but i don't care anymore, at least i got them)

Re: Questions About the EF
The installation of the sockets went well, I went out and got new bulbs but for some reason the outside bulbs (flashers) don't turn on, at all?
Anyone have some insight with that?
