Whiteline rear trailing arm bushing RTA
I like Whiteline (coming from some Subaru's) and was not able to find much on them. I just replaced the rear trailing arm bushings on my 1991 Civic Si, this video is a comparison of lateral deflection.
The Whiteline RTA does move slightly by hand (I presume my hands are less than the force generated in cornering). Initial impressions after install are a stiffer rear (obviously) and with that, the rear sway bar being able to work more effectively.
This is obviously comparing older, worn bushings. But they had been replaced before, so they're not 22 years old.
The arc you can draw while cornering is much, much tighter now. I had not realized how soft and spongey the rubber was making the entire rear end.
Rear suspension has 450# GC springs, Koni Sports and the ST sway bar by the way.

Its supposed to deflect in that direction.....
Its all the other directions you didn't test for and that the white line bushing is now completely bound up is the reason theres a change in feel.

I am not understanding. Do you mean the change in vertical deflection or compliance is the only difference between the bushings?

isn't there a DIY repair to the old ones? I thought there was a polyeurathane that you could heat in a soup pot, over the stove, and pour the liquid into the old mounts and then it hardens up.
could be wrong. But that was what we used to do.

I think the OEM bushing is perfect if you want to keep the stock shocks/springs and 185/60/14 all season tires.
