Get the head check out, have them replace the valve stem seals. Not sure how you feel about taking the block apart considering your timeframe to get this car going for the boy.

After ordering parts taking them back and reordering from the honda dealer the parts are in. Hope to have her back together tomorrow.
One question, and I might want to start a new thread on this one. Tie Rod broke on drivers side under the boot. From what I'm reading this would be the rack and pinion that the tie rod is attached to? Thanks for all your help. I really needed it.

I would like to thank everyone for their input. Seems the water pump was bad. Now the temp stays low and the fan kicks on and off as needed.
