Re: **OFFICIAL FORCED INDUCTION RANDOM CHAT THREAD**
Hello forum.
1st post here, looking for info on a few topics but didnt want to start a new thread, please redirect me if wrong.
This is my first turbo car (bought) and trying to overcome a new issue.
Got a turbo k24 with manual boost controller that i cant get back down to WG pressure. When i had it tuned it was fine from 6(wg) to 16, max set.
I adjusted it a few times after but after it sitting for awhile it wont get below just near max. I even bought another controller, first was cheap amazon screw type and the other is a bit nicer screw type. From reading instructions, unscrewing it should lower pressure but they are both backed all the way out. When i screwed in a little it hit boost cut off.
Update:
I just re-routed my vac lines for just turbo to WG and the car runs great.
The WG is using a bottom port and the top port is open.
How are the vac lines to be routed with adding in the controller and exhaust cutout actuator supposed to be run?
Heres a crude diagram:
Is the controller routed backwards?

So about 2 weeks ago I bought a 2005 Civic DX 5spd. I got it cheap from the original owner knowing it needed a clutch, its been 6 years since timing belt had been done, etc... So today I did clutch/flywheel, timing belt, water pump, all related gaskets, front brakes ( pads AND rotors ), thermostat, coolant flush, etc... Basically just need to be sure its good to go while I accumulate everything needed for the K-Swap. Kind of works out that I live 18 miles from Hybrid-Racing. lol

Fun day at chuckwalla. I didnt plan on setting any PB times just wanted to test the car.
Ended up with a blown push lock fitting and the motor overheating all day. Found out when i got home my manifold flange had warped and was blowing exhaust right at the motor.
