Re: **OFFICIAL TL/RL/ZDX Picture Thread***
In October 2014, the dealer from whom I bought the RLX called to say that they'd got a Sport Hybrid Advance after all. They called me right when they were unloading it.
I hesitated for a bit (meaning a few minutes) because I knew I'd take a bath on the previous car, which I'd bought because everybody said that we'd never get the Sport Hybrid or, if we did, it'd be 80 grand.
But, in the end, I drove over there and did it. To their credit, they gave me much more than they should have for the first RLX, and as I watched their site, I saw my first RLX sell for quite a bit less than they'd given me for it.
I appreciate what they did to get me in this car.
0-60 in the production car is still not solidly documented, but about a half dozen of us can testify that it is under 6 seconds.
30 mpg average.
Bellanova White Pearl + Seacoast interior would have been my absolute last choice for a car. LOL....
But....
You had to take what the dealer got. Some dealers NEVER got a Sport Hybrid, some dealers only got the Tech Package, and no dealer had a choice of packages or color combinations.
I have to say, though, that I've got used to it. The Bellanova is a much more attractive color to live with than I'd anticipated and there has been absolutely zero indigo transfer or any other problem with the Seacoast interior.

So I'll take a moment to type an unfortunate update.
The white KC2 was totalled. :-(
A girl driving a Civic ran a stop sign and hit me, in the process scraping the whole right side of the car.
It was a minor impact for me, but not for her. The Civic's nose was pushed back all the way behind the front wheels, and her airbags went off.
My airbags didn't go off, and because it was a side impact the computer braking didn't activate. The KC2 looked like a minor impact, and it was still drivable.
Unfortunately...all body panels aluminium meant the car was totalled. Honda even volunteered to take it to the Performance Centre and fix it, but her insurance company wouldn't go for it because of unknown future liabilities.
At the time, I couldn't find another KC2 that I wanted. They gave me an AWD Taurus to drive while I looked, but there just wasn't one anywhere near me.
Bought a Honda Fit to drive while I kept my eyes open. The Fit was awesome, but the noise got to me. I couldn't driven it forever if were just quieter.
Ended up dumping for a Bolt EV in January 2021, when the rebates and incentives were at their height. So I don't even drive a Honda anymore.
