Case Logic SLRC-4 SLR/Computer Backpack - for Photo or Digital SLR Outfit with a 15.4" Laptop Computer plus accessories

Exterior: The build quailty is great. Looks like nothing would ever rip. Its light, and fits nicely on my back (but I'n 6'2", so who knows). Its padded straps are very egronomic and feels great while wearing it. It also has a 25 year warranty.

Interior: There is a seperate slot up above to hold the camera body securely. It "suspends" the body in the slot, so that it is no prone to being smashed in to anything and keeps it very well protected. I think its a great idea.

The main pocket is large. It has removable shelves and flexible walls create a fully customizable interior. It would easily fit maybe 3-4 lens + flash + other accessories.

There are little side pockets for miscellaneous items (rocket blowers, chargers, filters, cleaning materials, etc.)

This bag feels great, looks great, fits a lot of gear nicely, and a laptop. I think its an excellent bag for the price. Plus with the 25 year warranty, you can't go wrong.

Def a different design for the bag. I take it the laptop goes in between the back of the bag and your back.

how much did you pay and where did you purchase it from?

25 year warranty. will the co. even be in business then?

Case logic has been around for years, I doubt they will go out of business.

I'm thinking about picking this up

. Is there any way you can fit the camera with the lens still on it in the camera compartment? Are there any other backpacks around this size that will hold both a notebook computer and a dslr?

Yes, there is a removable foam piece that seperates the two large compartments that can be removed for more space. Should be able to work.

Thanks for the quick reply. Great review by the way, the photos are nice. I can't find this backpack locally in camera shops around here, I might just have to order it online.

Will the compartment hold the d40 with kit lens attached? Or do you take off the lens every time you store the camera?

yeah...it fits my d40 with my 18-55mm lens...not the 55-200mm though...but i take the lens off when i store it...just to make sure nothing breaks

Yea, it should fit. I just test fitted with my 20D and kit, and it works, so you should have no problem with the D40 since its smaller.
