Hissing/Whistling noise while driving/but not frequent on 2001 Honda Accord
Hey guys, i'm new to the board. I have a 2001 Honda Accord EX sedan and I had my brakes done last month at Honda. After about a couple of weeks I kept hearing this "hissing sound" of some kind but it wasn't all the time. It'll last for about 30 seconds and it'll go away and then maybe it'll come back. I took it back 3 times to the dealer but every time I go it never does it. The tech checked the brakes and backing plate and didn't find anything wrong. Even though it doesn't do it the whole time while driving, it's still very annoying. Does anyone know what it could be or have ever heard anything similar?

Is the sound coming from the wheel well for sure?
If not, where is it coming from?

I think it's coming from the wheel because when it stops rolling, the noise will stop. It's funny. It started a couple of weeks ago. I don't know. It's pissing me off I know that...LOL

Well I was in the same boat a while back. The sound came from the wheel and it would only make noise when the car was in motion. The noise was a high pitched noise. I changed my brake pads and it cured all my problems. But since you said you got a brake job at honda I don't know what else to say. Good Luck
