clutch question- clutch goes down to the floor, starts but can't put into any gear.
Was sup everyone- got into my car after driving my bros TT supra for a couple of days. Push the clutch in and it felt like it went down to the floor with out any force. At first I just thought it was getting used to the weak clutch on my civic. By the way has a B16AII with a stage one clutch from Exedy. 2 days into driving my car again I went to the car and the clutch petal went almost all the way down to the floorboard - the car started but won't get into any gears. What gives, I know I didn't burn the clutch out , no smell, I checked the reservior and it was empty. I filled it up but nothing. Still same issue, I think it's the clutch lines it might have a leak. But after filling the reservior it never went down. I'm about to check it out today. What do you think it might be. Any help would be great.

check your clutch master cylinder look under dash on the back of the clutch pedal (near the top) make sure there isnt any fluid leaking under there. if so replace and bleed. also if the clutch slave is leaking it will most lilkely leak into the transmision housing.

I bought a used (I know ) master cylinder for my manual tranny swap and it never leaked fluid but had no pumping pressure whatsoever. I ended up having to replace it. Is the car in gear when you start it? And does the pedal come back up by itself?

Man, it was raining all day- the car starts up, the petal has no pressure what's so ever. I recall my clutch going out on my teggy and it wouldn't even start. In this case the petal goes all the way down with just a little play at the bottom and starts up. When you try to put it in gear it grinds like a *****.

its either the slave cyl. on the tranny or the master cyl. on the fire wall i had the same problem of the pedal going to the floor after like 10 shifts and i had to rebleed it all the time (was at the street races way back haha) anyways had to rebleed every time i wanted to race then i replaced the slave cyl. and it was the seals in there letting air in somehow.??? anywasy hope this helps...

if the resevoir is fulll, try pumping the clutch lyke a LOT. mine was lyke that, i filled up the resevoir and it still didn't have pressure, i'd kick in the clutch and it wouldn't even come up, so i just pumped it HELLA times and built the presure back up and it works now

same thing happened on my car. your master cylinder is leaking. fill up the reservoir and bleed the clutch. you will be able to get by if you just keep topping it off. change out hte master sylinder ASAP
