Default Removing check engine light/bulb from dash

Hi
I recently did a ZC swap to my Civic Si 1990.
By doing this, the check engine light is always on, and i cannot pass emissions with it on.
I was told to remove the bulb, but i dunno where to start. Any ideas as to how i can get rid of the light?
Thanks
Franklin

The smog station checks the CEL for proper functionality. Notice it turns on for 5-8 seconds when you start the car . . .

It does that for a reson ;-)

Ever try to figure out what was wrong with it and, oh, say, fix it?

Actually, reading alot of the ZC swaps, since we have to splice a couple of wires and rewire the distributor, they said the check engine light will be on all the time.
I reset the ecu, but that didnt work either. So i figured i'd just remove the bulb so i can get the car inspected.
Thanks

That is BS. I had two ZCs in Two different cars and never had a light or a problem.

Sounds like you need to fix some wiring or something.

*shakes head*
why the hell would you wanna do that?!?
That's not gonna solve your problems in passing emissions at all.
Even though you'd remove the check light, your car is still going to be running in limp mode.

Find out what code is being thrown; report back so we can help.

You don't need a paper clip like it says. Skip that part. Out cars don't have that blue connector.Turn the key to the on position and count the ECU light flashes. The ECU is under the passenger footwell carpet.

The code list is here
