Default HX, DX, CX, EX What Do They Mean????

what do the differant civic codes mean 92-95? 96-00?
i have seen EX,DX,HX,VX,CX,LX.. what do they mean and are they any others that i didnt mention?

I'm not sure about all of them, because i think some of them changed over a generation, but I do know CX has the least amount of options (power Steering, AC, etc) and nonvtec, but also is the lightest of all of them.

DX Is the same as CX but WITH P/S, ac and some other options i believe

I'm not totally certain on this one, but the LX is a nonvtec with a LOT of options like the guy above said.

EX has pretty much any option you want and it includes the vtec sohc engine.

SI is the like "the best" of all of them, but it varys from generation.

Thats all i know for the 96-00, but i Think there is a VX in the 92-95......

CX = Comes with Xtras
HX = Has Some Xtras
DX = Doesn't Come with Xtras
LX = Lots of Xtras
EX = Xtra Xtras
and..
SI = Sport Injection

you forgot to add Si's have a different kind of xtra xtras. kinda like the EX, but different.

Yes the VX was available from 1992-1995... I'm 100% positive.

vx is just like the cx, but the vx has the sohc vtec engine

My LX Sedan doesn't have Cruise.

I talked to the original owner and he said he was an option even for the LX.

i think on some of the 92-95 civic EX and LX only came with 4 wheel disc brakes in certian years, my 94 EX coupe had drums and my 93 LX has drums
