Maybe they're the most stolen because they're the highest selling cars?

I would think the 2000 Si Civic is on there because of the motors, and the thiefs know what they are getting.

i remember back in the day i knew a guy who would do that, he said it would take 5mins to get a civic, and like 1hr or 2 to strip it to the bones. So ya, but no matter what security u have if someone wants ur car they will find a way to get it. (put a gun to ur head) i dont kno bout u, but i would hand my **** over in that case !!! and then cry hahah

Dont forget the popularity of hondas. If something is popular, people are going to be willing to spend $$ on parts.

that study is based on total amount of cars stolen.
Almost ever civic SI or Type-R could get stolen and not make a dent in comparison to how many of those cars are sold.

There was a study that had the top 10 cars, how many made to however many stolen.
it was like

1. Acura Integra Type-R
2. Mitsubishi GSX
3. Honda Civic SI

and a bunch of special edition trucks ??

Lets open our eyes a bit more here folks. We can't place all of the blame on the thieves that hondas are jacked so often. We should all be more aware when we come across that GSR swap for $1800 that seems too good to be true, that teg interior for $150, those rear discs for $75. Thieves steal it because you can literally part every piece of a honda out, and our fellow enthusiasts who are jumping on these deals without asking questions are encouraging them. Thieves are very lazy people and we make it easy for them to unload their/our goods.
