How can i fix this/find where the problme happened? Is there a way to tighten the cable? How much will a new one cost? Thank you, hopefully i can get this fixed soon, i need to put oil in my car? If its broken, take the front bumper off and then you can access everything without ******* anything up in the process.

i agree you can also take the plastic fender cover off and yank on the cable from there but more than likely its right by the hood latch so take off the front bumper and scope it out

I used a junkyard piece and replaced my cable, which had broken. This problem manifested itself as a hood release latch that was unwilling to release the hood, and also unwilling to hold the hood shut when I closed it. I only noticed the problem after removing the latch mechanism and seeing that the part of the cable cover that clips onto the latch had broken off. I actually removed the cable and installed the new one without removing anything other than a) unbolting the top 4 bolts on the rad support, b) removing the inner fenderliner on the driver's side. Everything else I was able to get to by contortion.

you cant take off the bumper without popping the hood. climb under the car and look for a cable to yank with some pliers. it runs right beneath under the left front fender.

Just kneel underneath the car or however you can, so that you can see where the cable goes. It's just a little level, you'll see where the cable is attached by a ball. Just oush/pull it the same way as the cable would do it and it'll pop.
I had the same problem, I ended up just removing all of it and I have a CF hood with hood locks/pins now.

Here's what joo do:
1. Vaccum and clean your car real nice, you know.. so it looks okay.
2. Take it back to the honda factory and tell them to stop making peices of **** on 4 wheels... oh you might want to add that when they manufactured your lawn mower, they forgot to put the blades on.
