2000 Integra GSR Clutch Chatter
Hello everyone,
So I recently purchased a GSR teggy, 90% original parts at 200,000 km, other than the clutch, a distributor cap, and a rear caliper, the dude babied it.
Anyways, so I've owned it for about a month now, when I first bought it, the clutch felt super tight, and when fully engaged would make a squeaking sound. I was told that it was normal for certain aftermarket clutches to make that noise by my mechanic, so meh, I just got used to it.
As time went by (roughly 4000km driven so far), and rowing through a few gears everyday, I noticed the clutch started feeling softer.
Last night I went out for a drive and noticed that when I start from a dead stop, the whole car would start to shake. The clutch itself feels grabby still, but it's the initial engagement with the flywheel is when it shakes.
I also noticed the past few days, that the clutch pedal felt a bit sticky when going through the gears. Like after I shift, I could feel the pedal stick a bit before it pops back up fully.
Anyways, I did a bit of searching and got some ideas, but was wondering if anyone else maybe had a similiar experience?
PS, the owner didn't know what type of clutch was put in.
