Default Best tire size for lowered civic?

My Tein S. Tech springs were just put on my car and my mechanic said it would be best to get smaller tires.
What would be a good size to go with?
My current tires are 195/60r15
And mt wheels are 7 inches wide and have a +35 offset
Thanks in advanced for the help

Er. What? That's not how you choose a tire.

Sounds like he may not want the tires to be stretched?

If that's the case and your mechanic says to go with a small tire he may be talking about profile/sidewall size, in which case you may want to find a 195/55 or even 195/50. Personally I don't make much money so past few sets of tires have been the Douglas Performance GT-H's which are about 350 for everything. That's just me though, I only drive about 10 miles to work and like 15 miles to school and I don't drive my car hard so they work fine for me. In my case as long as they don't slip when it rains(living in Florida and it rains a lot) and last longer than a year of driving I'm happy with them.

How about we familiarize ourselves with the forum and all it's tools before posting? This link is at the top of the Wheel & Tire forum.

Add technical value to the thread with your comments? Not.

Meh I'm not a fan of tire stretching my self.
A 205/50R15 is common amongst owners.
PS tires don't come stretched you simply buy tires that are too small for the rim and stretch them to make them fit.

Do I need to go on my rant about why stretched tires are stupid, and extremely dangerous? How about you guys don't make me go through that all over again.

205/50R15 is the correct fitment for your wheel size. Your CURRENT tires are the wrong size, and your speedometer is off by ~5%. 195/55R15 is the absolute smallest thread you should go, but you haven't told us two critical pieces of information: your wheel width and offset.

You ask what would be a good size to go with. Assuming stock rim width, 195/55/15 would be the answer.
