Default 96 civic dx - Should I wire in secondary O2 sensor or convert to obd1 p28 computer?

Ok first of all what's good ok quick question I have a 96 dx civic y5 block y8 head lightly modified but on to the point just changed to harness but no secondary o2 plug the question is wire it in or convert it to obd1 and use my p28 computer and just add a jumper harness I think convert it to obd 1 for tuning but any input would be great the sooner I can get it running good I can start on my ls vtec in my 95 door civic and don't laugh but f22a6 in a crx just cause people sleep on at motor

Sentence structure is your friend. I can't tell if you want to know how to wire a secondary O2 for an OBD2 ECU, how to wire a secondary O2 for an OBD1 ECU (wtf?), how to convert your car to OBD1, or how to how to put an LSVTEC F22A6 out of a CRX into a hatch.

It's a barbarity that clarity is a rarity.

Do local emissions where you live require the hookup of the OBD2 port? If so you might want to take that into consideration as the OBD1 ECU won't connect.

Thread titles MUST summarize the tech problem so that members browsing titles can easily understand the problem without reading the post -- Title edited.

Also please use punctuation in your posts so that members don't have to work hard to understand the tech question.

I would wire the car OBD1 and just eliminate your 2nd O2, but it all depends on your emissions per state. I don't need them so I wouldnt have to worry.

Sorry about the post topic but trying to figure out which would be better to wire in the o2 or covert the car and use a jumper harness and a p28 computer could I'm building the motor once I get my ls/vtec in my 95 civic. I love SOHC motors cause people sleep in them. The only reason I'm thinking about using a p28 computer is for tuning when I'm finsh my build. I have read alot of stuff about issues wiring in the o2 and the check engine light coming back on after a day or two.

My bad don't post much no real problem just try to get opinions on which one would be better. The f22a6 is another project I'm working on. The ls/vtec is going in my 95 civic once I get the o2 problem solved. I know how to do both ways just try to pick to best one.

No safety only no emissions

Just go P28 and call it a day. It's the easiest option.

Back on topic, like I stated earlier if emissions in your state requires the Hookup up the OBD2 port you won't pass with the P28. Is that a pic of your car? If not than go for it.

No the car is a 96 civic dx. I'm using a y5 block and a y8 head. I live in the country so it's safety only inspections.

If all they do is kick the tires and make sure everything is bolted down, but don't hook up a scanner to your ecu then i think the obvious choice would be go back to obd1 since you want to get your motor tuned.

good luck with your ls/v and your f22 crx!

General thread warning - flaming is against forum rules and won't be tolerated.

The OP's first post was a bit difficult to understand so members mentioned this to him. In response, the OP subsequently posted much clearer written replies. Unfortunately, comments about the first post continued and also became rude. This was not only unjustified but also not allowed. Keep all discussions civil and focused entirely on tech.
