Re: 99 civic fan relay
Super helpful man. Unfortunately no blown fuses. How many sensors or switches are involved with the temp/fan. Because all of a suden my temp guage will work and then if i turn the key on again i wont. But this car has been like this forever. Im fixing alot of rigged up **** everyday. b20b in a 99hx ek coupe

The 1-wire temp sending unit is located below the distributor. Unplug it. Clean the connector and sending unit of oil and then fully seat the connector back on the unit.

Re: 99 civic fan relay
The casing around the end of the connector is torn back so i rewired it and cleaned it. Now when you say does it have power meaning turn the key on and test for power with a test light grounding it to the body??

Re: 99 civic fan relay
Ok ron i grounded the test light to the body and turned the key on and no power to the green wire in the 2p connector. So just to be certian i grounded the test light to the negative on the battery and still no power?

With the key in ON(II), now test whether the both top test tabs of 7.5A dash fuse 17 have battery voltage to body ground. Click the fuses link in my signature.

Re: 99 civic fan relay
Ok i checked it out. The #17 fuse has a 20 amp fuse in its place. I checked the fuse itself and it has power through it. So i pulled the fuse and check the cavity that holds the fuse and the top slot does not have power but the bottom does wiht the key on.

Re: 99 civic fan relay
Just to be clear, are you saying that both top test tabs of installed fuse 17 have battery voltage? If so, now check whether the fan relay in the hood fuse box gets voltage from the Blk/Yel wire via fuse 17.
Also install the proper 7.5A fuse in the #17 slot.
