I wouldn't want to swap a B series in an EP3... lower torque #, complications with installing. K20A is far superior then a B18C...

You should read the article on that car... the installation was a piece of work on its own!

K is not expensive if you already have an EP3 or DC5. it would cost far more to put a B18c in there. with the money put into a B18c swap you could have bought a lot of stuff to upgrade your K.

Would be way too expensive and pointless to put a B-Series into an EP3. The end does not justify the means whatsoever.

However ....

When it comes to which motor I prefer, I'd still stick with the B-Series. After 5 B-Series motors, and 3 K-Series (including the most recent K20A), I'm not a huge fan. The K Series have more power output, but also keep in mind they're pushing heavier cars. The K-Series power-plant signaled the end of Honda's double wishbone setups, and low curb weights. The B18C5/C-Spec R was IMO the greatest rendition of an inline four cylinder Honda engine. Combine that high-revving spaz of a motor with the ultra-slick, ultra precise hydraulic LSD transmission in the lightweight DC2-R (JH4DC231 body) and it was magic. We'll never have another Honda like that, ever again. And that is a damn shame.

If you already have an EP3 dont do it. Not worth the time. Yes you'd have the originality factor here in the US but you'd also lose respect from a lot of us. The EP2 came stock B or D series, can't remember. So if you have an EP2, go ahead, straight drop.

It's appalling that after experiencing a K you would state you'd prefer a B? You must not have really experienced a K. I've experienced both and I loved that traditional VTEC kick but nothing in the world Rips like a K. The K Series did not signal anything but more power. You must not have noticed that there are K Swapped Teggy's? Best of Both worlds yes? This makes your point moot

So you don't like k series motors because the cars they came in were heavier and had a different suspension setup.

I guess that makes sense if you don't think about it.

The only situation in which this idea would make sense is if you had an EP2, with a D series... But you specifically asked for EP3/DC5, so you might as well stick with your K-series.

What makes his point moot is that he's comparing motors, but referencing double wishbone suspensions and curb weight...
