Newly Acquired R
Is the exhaust aftermarket? It looks larger than normal, I dunno what stock Type R's exhaust look like though.
Dunno if you can see it, but the previous owner installed a grille.

Judging by the circular shape of the exhaust, and the fact you can't tell it's aftermarket by the sheer noise it's putting out. I'd guess it might be the spoon sports DC2 exhaust:
I had it on my 01 GSR and it was only noticeable at WOT.
Now put that beautiful R in that garage it's in front of in the first pic, and protect it with your life.

That exhaust could be any number of name-brand to crappy generic pieces. If generic, it probably won't say what it is.
Honestly, I'd look at replacing it with an OEM exhaust. Don't try to fix some aftermarket piece of crap.

Re: Newly Acquired R
Itsumi Integra (as I like to call heR) only has 65xxx. And after viewing a lot of other ITR's in the Official PY forum, I've debunked the whole exhaust question and pretty sure it's just stock. As for the noise I don't know, need to get that checked out. The car is spotless for maybe 2 scratches on the exterior, however the previous owner was a smoker so there are cig burns on the driveR's seat and the bolster is a tad ripped other than that she is good! had to buy some black ice air freshners though.

It also looks like the muffler itself is round. Again, not stock. Look at the pic that someone posted of a stock muffler. if it is not that, then it isn't stock, period.

I'll look further into it when I get back home. There isn't much I can do from my dorm behind a computer. I am doubtful it's a cheap exhaust though, the owner took great care of this car and I don't think he'd make it junk.

Honestly, I know your excited and all...but just check and double-check what was done to the car. Anything aftermarket and I'd recommend that you replace it with the stock part, or do a bit of research and do high-quality aftermarket. But if you park it on campus, make it as stock as possible. Although, that probably won't keep it from getting stolen, unfortunately.

meh...not a fan of the unsupportive stock seats. Still it sucks they got burns. I'd sell them and replace it with a bucket.
But that's just me. :0p
Not a fan of the big bus wheel either. These are two things the aftermarket does A LOT better than the USDM OEM parts.
However, the JDM variant...well, that's another story.

Wow man that thing looks incredible! I pray to God you don't park that thing on any campus. Trust me, if you do you won't have it very long. I know you're probably having a fit to drive it everywhere but just remember, it only takes once to be left alone in the wrong place and it's bye bye R. Keep heR safe!
