You sure it's the HG and not from Vtec solenoid, cam plug, or distributor?

I would first re-torque the head and make sure you use some rtv on the cam seal above. Sometime after a few heat cycles you need to re-torque the arp studs.

I have the same problem right now, I narrowed it down to the cam plug. GL

Could easily be cam seal or Vtec solenoid gasket

You can also whipe up the oil clean it up then baby powder around where it was leaking and start the car drive it for a minute and it should reveal where your oil is escaping from...

I always put a little hondabond on the oil drains for lsvtec's. If not they always seem to leak like you're describing. Double check the other possible sources though like others have mentioned.

That leak I have come to know as the "vtec leak" I see just about every car with an LSV or that has had the head split from the block has that leak. I use honda bond around all the oil ports as an extra seal and have defeated it. The first rebuild I did I had the same problem.

i used ultra grey around the oil returns on the head gasket.....and the cam seal is one of those 3 o-ring aftermarket ones that i also went over with ultra-grey...and everthing on the head side is clean...under cam seal and distributor and vtec solenoid...also head was resurface and so was the block...

i dont mind cleaning it up once in a while...i just dont wanna blow something...

if it can last till spring im ok with it so i can retorque the head...if i have to take of the head im gonna go with copper spray..

did you atleast install the plug into the bottom of the head? I know its a dumb question but you would be suprised how many people do not tap and plug the hole. I for one have never had an ls/vtec or b20/vtec leak anywhere when built. Sounds like a problem from the engine builder

Since it hasn't been asked or put out there, what HG did you use?

i made that mistake once already...installe the plug without any sealant....this time i did it right...

compression was even on all 4 cyl..so it cant be a bad headgasket...also the oil is clean not milky...
