Default Replacing blower motor in '93 Honda Accord LX

I've been browsing YouTube and Google trying to find out how to do this, and the videos I found look nothing like my car. I also saw a thread here, but the instructions and pictures just didn't really help me much.

Does anyone know a good way I can do this? I was out messing with it an hour ago, and took my glove compartment door off and then didn't know when to start. I can't afford to go to a mechanic to get this done, so if anyone could please help me I would really appreciate it.

Here's a picture of my blower motor area:

I replaced the blower motor assy in my 93 accord a few years ago. It took me like 20min to take out and then another 20 to put it back in. BUT I didnt replace just the motor. I got the entire plastic assy with the motor in it from a junk yard. In that pic, the big plastic boxs with the rust metal clips and 2 silver colored straps has to come out as a whole unit. And i believe theres 1 or maybe 2 wire connectors.

IF you are getting a used whole blower motor assy like I did, then you pull the old one out and put the replacement in.

IF you are just replacing the internal motor itself then its ALOT more work with alot of little parts to dissassemble. If your having trouble removing this blower assy, I wouldnt recommend you dissassembling the unit itself

I dont remember exact how to remove that blower assy. But you have to look at how that plastic box assy is mounted. I believe theres a mount securing it to the fire wall and a couple bolts torwards the front of the box.

I ordered just the motor itself from Napa, and it will be here Wednesday. I never thought about just buying the whole assembly from a wrecking yard, my fear would be the possibility that it wouldnt work either, so I just figured I'd get just the motor. I guess it would be worth it thought? If I can find the same Honda, then maybe I can at least further my knowledge on taking it apart. Regardless, I need it fixed, and if I can get the whole assembly for cheaper than the motor ($77) that would be awesome. Thanks for your help

It kind of looks like you are at this step of this thread:

The glove box frame seems partially removed in your picture?

Do you have AC? Take off that glove box frame, then if you don't have AC, remove the screws holding the heater duct & then remove heater duct.

Edit: Looks like you have AC, then move on to step 5B.

If AC equipped, move on the ECU removal. Also see this link for pictures.

Ugh, I spent about 4 hours at the wrecking yard today trying to pull the whole assembly off a car there and gave up. I called the Honda shop here and got quoted $230 for labor + $70 for the blower motor. I think I just need to fork out the money and get it over with since its getting colder and colder every day. I hate not being able to do something myself, I'm just not confident enough to do it myself....grrrrr why do they make this year so difficult.
