Default 2003 Accord window issue

Hello,

I have a 2003 Honda Accord coupe. I recently replaced the driver's side window motor and regulator because the window would not operate. The window now works but when the window is in the full up position, I now hear what sounds like the window engaging trying to make itself go up (a little ping of sort.) What would cause this and how could this be fixed?

I tried to reset the master mindow switch but it did not seem to stop the noise. I also tried to search the forums and I see some posts related to window problems but none adressing this specific question. Sorry if redundant.

Dave

Try removing both battery cables (making sure you have your radio code handy after you install the cables) and touching them togther for about 5 minutes. Keep in mind that you're not touching the battery posts together, just the cables. A jumper wire is best used for this purpose. This will drain any residual power retained by electrical components--a resetting of sorts. In weird circumstances like that it's always the first thing I will do before any other electrical troubleshooting. Let me know how that works.

Well, I tried your suggestion and I think it worked. I removed both cables from the battery and hooked up a jumper wire and connected them together. I waited 20 minutes and then re-installed the cables to the battery. The noise seems to of gone away. Thank you for your suggestion!

Hello Justin.
I have a similar problem as Dave.
I just bought an 03 accord coupe 3 days ago, and i parked it in walmart at the very far end. After shopping, i see my windows are lowered a few inches. I thought someone broke in using suction cups or something. But everything was still in place. Then now i noticed that my window motors are starting to give up. Its like the windows are too heavy on them. And i can literally grab the windows on both ends and move them couple of inches up or down. Is that normal? I mean i dont want my vehicle to be easy to break in. Is there something i should worry about?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks Justin

The alarm on my 03 V6 sedan lowers all the windows when I press the button again. Are you sure you didn't just happen to do this then forced the window up and down causing the problem? Just suggesting as it is sometimes done by those who don't know the alarm lowers the windows too.
