Default 2007 Accord window problem

Hi, Ive a accord 2007, and i have been having problem with my pasenger side and the rear two windows. The driver side works perfectly fine but the other three windows are not going down... i can hear the click sound but thats it. I checked the fuse they all are fine.. someone told me it could be something to do with the reseting of the windows. Is that the case? if so how do you do that? if not, pls suggest how to fix that..

thanks,

I have an 05 Coupe with the same problem, my window motor went bad. I took the door panel off and tapped the motor with a screwdriver and it started working but the window went up very slowly. My problem was the motor so that could be yours.

I was told by a friend it was the resinator. They gradually start to go and then eventually it takes the motor so much to make up for the resinator going that the motor goes, and that's why the window makes the click. So - he said get the resinator and motor PACKAGE. Not just one or the other.

NOTE: You must do the manual reset from the power
window switch at the affected window. For example, if
you’re resetting the front passenger’s power window
control unit, do it from the front passenger’s power
window switch, not the driver’s power window master
switch.
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Lower the window all the way down with the power
window switch.
3. Open the driver’s or front passenger’s doorNOTE: Do steps 4 thru 7 within 5 seconds of each
other. Do these steps a total of four times in a row.
These steps clear the control unit’s memory.
4. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
5. Push down and hold the power window switch.
6. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
7. Release the power window switch.
NOTE: Make sure the auto-up feature doesn't work.
If it does, do steps 4 thru 7 again, paying close
attention to the 5-second time limit for up to three
more times for each series of steps.
8. Lower the window all the way down with the power
window switch.
9. Pull up and hold the power window switch until the
window goes all the way up, then keep holding the
switch for 1 second.
NOTE: Make sure the auto-up/down feature works
correctly by lowering and raising the window with
the power window switch. If it doesn't work
correctly, repeat the manual reset several times,
paying close attention to the 5-second time limit. If it
still doesn't work, troubleshoot the power window
circuit.

Will this reset procedure work for the 2003 accord? Just replaced the master power window switch and the auto window function does not work. Already reprogrammed the key-less entry fobs. Everything else is working fine. Thanks in advance,
Tim

Okay I have the same exact problem as the OP and I've followed these steps and was able to disable the auto up/down feature on the driver side door. The instructions say to repeat the process for each of the affected windows but if the other three windows don't go down at all how are you supposed reset them?

I can hear the relay clicking at the button controls for each door but each of the 3 windows simply will not come down. I doubt it's a bad regulator or bad switches since all three windows failed exactly at the same time. I'm getting ready to pull the negative off my battery to try to reset it that way to see if that will work although I'd like to know the proper way to reset these windows.

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

I can help you diagnose the problem if you have some electrical testing ability. I'm almost certain of the problem but you always need to verify. You'll need to take out the door multiplex control unit which is incorporated in the power window master switch. The whole assembly pops out of the door panel with some gentle prying, here is a link you can post in your URL if the video doesn't show up that will show you how to take it out. Once you've gotten the Multiplex unit out let me know and I can help you further. Don't unplug anything..:

I have a multi-meter and a test probe. What should I do when I pull the driver side controls out? Following your instructions I will not unplug anything. Thanks in advance.

At the 23 pin white connector on the multiplex unit there is a white/green (white wire with a green stripe). The wire has a solid black wire and a solid blue wire beside of it. It's the only white/green wire in the connector so it should be easy to locate. With the ignition switch in the on position and the connector plugged up, with a jumper wire ground the white/green wire to body. Once that is done see if you can work the 3 windows up and down. Let me know what you find.

Justinsbg I have 2006 Accord SE Sedan, same problem. I can hear the windows click on each of the three windows that don't work when I attempt from driver controls, but they don't go down. If I go to those windows and try to close them from their controls nothing happens.

My wiring harness is as you described. I jumped the white wire with the green stripe to the body (I am certain I successfully jumped it) with the ignition switch in the on position.

Any further suggestions?

with the connector plugged up, supplying a ground for the white/green wire wire and the ignition switch on try to run the windows up and down from the driver's master window switch. Let me know what happens.

Misread your original post, sorry about that.

With the white and green wire grounded, I am able to operate all 4 windows. Removing the ground I cannot operate the other three windows.

You need a power window master switch, also called the "door multiplex control unit". That wire you grounded is the wire the master switch is supposed to ground when you press the up/down command. All you did was provide an alternate ground path for the relays for each of the windows. Problem diagnosed, now you just need the part.

Similar issue here, the from passenger window will not roll down it just clicks. I've replaced the regulator & it worked a few weeks and is now doing it again.

Just before it went out again on me, I noticed that every once in a while it made a noise like it was trying to roll up even when it was already rolled up. I noticed it while parked & I think I had the keys out of the ignition too.

I've replaced the switches on both sides too, so I don't think it's that.

Is there another component that could cause this, or could I have a short somewhere?
