94 Accord Non start
i have a 94 accord lx 4cyl. automatic. Now the problem is the car was running fine, until I changed the battery. Then went and started it, no problems. Went out the next day, and it wouldn't start at all. I have checked the battery terminals, replaced the spark plug wires, and cap and rotor. I've checked all fuses, as well as the main relay. Ive noticed its not getting spark and no fuel also. How many relays are there that control spark and fuel pump? Any other ideas to what it could be? Is there another ground wire on the motor that i might have missed? Any ideas or help is well appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

I would try another main relay.....if you need to go grab a couple out of the junk yard even ( its nice to have spares anyway ). A faulty main relay will cause issues like this. Could also be the ECU though. Haynes manual has a flowchart for starting issues, takes you through every step very easily. I used this process on a DA integra years ago to determine I had a bad ECU. Re: 94 Accord Non start
Ok i was looking online and found this. Can anyone explain where this is? Do you think this could be the problem? And where could i get one at?
It is the Ignition Control Module, This is a common problem with hondas. sometimes the car will start fine and sometimes the car just won't start. The Module is a silver box located above the steering column, behind the dash. It costs 55 dollars and only takes about 10 minutes to change.

Re: 94 Accord Non start
Mmmm..... My ignition switch went out before and nothing would happen when i turned the key and all the auxiliary lights would stay on when i would try to start it, so i know it wasnt the battery. It is very common in hondas and especially in accords dont ask my why they go out.

Ill check them again. Will the Ignition control module cause no fuel also? I know it causes no spark?

Re: 94 Accord Non start
on my 90 civic the ignition control module is in the distributor. Just had mine tested today at autozone. it was good. Can't figure out why my car won't start either, but I AM getting spark and fuel. Bout ready to explode!!!!

Re: 94 Accord Non start
To the OP, the Ignition Control Module is used to control the ignition coil. The ignition control module recieves a timing signal from the ECM so it knows when to correctly time the spark. A failure of this will cause no spark. It will NOT cause no fuel.
No offense, but, how exactly are you determining the vehicle is not getting fuel into the cylinders?
Does the check engine light come on when you turn the key 'ON'? If you turn the key to the 'ON' position without starting the car does the check engine light go out after a few seconds?

Is the ignition timing correct? Just because you're getting spark doesn't mean it's at the right time. Also, same question. How are you confirming the cylinders are getting fuel?

Re: 94 Accord Non start
I cracked the nut on the fuel rail. Pretty much had it off and turned the key back on to prime the fuel system and nothing came out. Had the guy check the fuel pump with a voltmeter and no power back their either. We changed the main relay with two different ones that we know that are fine, nothing. Only thing i can think of, there gotta be a loose ground some where on the motor. Where are the grounding points on the motor located at?

When I pull the plugs, there is definitely gas on them. And the ignition timing is correct. I guess we'll do the timing belt again for the hell of it, but 90% positive it's correct also. The dizzy was checked at autozone and they said it's fine. has new plugs, wires, cap and rotor. All we did was swap out a bad head for a "good" one i bought off craigs list that looked immaculate. Car ran before the swap. Seriously puzzled on this one.
