need f22b1 vtec wiring help 96 accord
I know there is info everywhere, but I cant seeme to find all the info I'm looking for. I am finding all h22 but thats not what i need.
I bought a 96 accord LX Auto(non vtec) with an f22b1 vtec motor. The vtec is NOT wired or working. (The car might be in limp mode, not sure. This is my first honda.)
Anyway, I bought the P0H ECU. I had to replace all the wiring under the dash because it was burnt and melted. I did NOT get the engine wiring harness.
When I get up to vtec kick in point it doesnt shift, I have to let off for it to shift.
I have read that I need to wire the vtec solenoid and oil pressure switch. My motor does NOT have the oil pressure switch, there is a bolt in it. I checked the junkyard and they are the same. I am not able to buy the switch at the parts store.
Does the oil pressure switch have to be wired? Where can I buy one? Does anyone have the ecu pinout with wire colors for the 96/97 obd2? Help me please. I'm getting a vtec malfunction code with the CEL and I need to get the car inspected this week and the CEL can't be on. thanks

lol nice link^^^
The OBD2 F22B1 VTEC does not have a pressure switch. It only has the VTEC solenoid, that is why there is a bolt where the PSW usually is. The VTEC solenoid is wired to Pin A8 of the VTEC ECU. The other wire of the solenoid goes to chassis ground.
OBD2 Connectors, view from wire side
Wire colours around the VTEC pin;
A1 is YEL
A2 is BLU
A3 is RED
A4 is BRN
A5 is ORG/BLU or ORG/BLK
A6 is ORG/BLK
A7 is empty
A8 is GRN/YEL VTEC Solenoid............
A9 is BRN/BLK
However if you are adding VTEC to a non VTEC Accord. I don't think the GRN/YEL VTEC wire will be in the ECU wire harness.... Unless you replaced it.
