Default b18c1 white smoke not head gasket

i have a 1994 honda civic coupe with a gsr swap ab a 95 on the engine ive been having alot of problems first blowed head gasket then rod bearings then a few small problems .

Ok so i had head resurfaced port & polished new valves just bc i thought that would be good replaced all the rod bearings, new water pump new plugs, wires ,new tstat new alum. rad. and new rings

ok so all back together still have a oil leak on the front left hand side of the head dont like that also car is smoking white out the tail pipe like cold smoke but its not that also i let it run last night for almost a hour checked the coolant and it doesnt seem to be flowing water to me rad. gets hot top hose gets hot bottom hose cold temp looks fine on car . no cels all hoses should be in the same place i double checked them . do have a small water leak but its just a clamp not tight on the back of the intake i think any help would be great .

Possible thermostat for the cold lower hose IMO.

As for the oil leak on the left side maybe the VTEC solenoid? Cam seal plug? VC gasket did seal all the way or?

How long has the car sat? Maybe the smoke is just condensation?

Shitty ideas, but a start I guess

so you have white smoke out of the exhaust, no water flow, and your car doesnt over heat? is the bottom hose cold or cooler then the top? and what are the other small things?

As for your oil leak issue. It could be your vtec solenoid. I have that problem with my B18, gasket maker that **** and it stopped leaking. Awaiting to buy new gaskets.

They are right about the thermostat. its probably installed wrong or not opening up. hows ur water pump? also oil leak on the front left side of the head could be distributor o-ring, vtec solenoid gaskets or valve cover gasket.

no the oil is not leaking from the vavle cover or the vtec solenoid it from the head gasket on the front left corner like it didnt seal good but thats crazy did everthing to specs and bought a pretty good gasket felpro msl gasket the other small things that was wrong was the valve need adjusting i did that also tho just lil stuff talked to a guy last that has been working for honda for like 25 years he told me to drive it for at least 15 mile and see if it quit smoking but it did not so any more advice would be great

The lower rad hose should b cooler than the top hose. If your not overheating, and its actually smoking, then its got NOTHING to do with the thermostat. How did u break in the new rings/motor? Also is the oil leak on the trans side?

the same thing has happened to every b series motor ive owned. its just something they do. and yes it is leaking from between the head and the block. i have an multi layer steel headgasket and it does it on my car too. one way to fix it is to take the head off and use silicon or gasket maker on that corner. but i just leave mine because it isnt worth the hassle for how small the leak actually is

the bottom hose is way cooler than the top hose like not hot at all to the touch i broke the rings in by driving it very mild until i hit 800 miles then i got down on it some thats when it started knocking but it was a rod bearing i replaced those all of them that seem to be fine now . and yes the oil leak is on the trans side for rickkane questions.

and yes i know that most b series leak there but mine seem to be a lil worse than i thought it would but this is a brand new gasket head redecked so it should not be i guess the way i feel is it didnt leak from the factory so i dont want it to just looks bad just me i guess

did you hone the cylinder walls before replacing the rings? i've heard from a couple of honda technicians that if you don't hone it, you'll smoke.

for the leak i had the same issue, did a new head and valve cover gasket and arp head studs.. i think the arp studs helped the seal over the stock ones. if you dont have those, id give them a shot.

yea i would like to get the arp head studs just because but i dont think they will help seal the head to block but they might . yes i honed all the cylinders but i dont think they needed it they looked great

im pretty sure your OIL leak isnt from your headgasket...otherwise coolant would be coming out? idk lol

the oil is probably just GATHERING at that point. check for oil coming from a higher place. its probably just dripping down and settling there. Distributor o-ring

Distributor o ring is likely the issue.

Take some CLEAR, DETAILED pics for us and lets us see the leak. Try and clean the area off.
